Autumn Song

(Herfstlied)

Simone van der Vlugt
Autumn Song

As a journalist for the culture pages of Leidsch Dagblad, Nadine is happy enough but really she would have liked to be an author. Just as she manages to interest a publisher for her work, Leiden is gripped by the murder of a young woman. Nadine and her colleagues follow the story closely, and Nadine finds herself pulled more and more strongly to it. When she discovers that the dead woman bears a very strong physical resemblance to her, she can no longer dismiss events as coincidental and realises that she and her 16 year old daughter are in danger. Especially when the murderer strikes again, and each time in Nadine’s proximity.

‘Not just old school thrilling but also interesting on the perspective of a debut author’ 4 stars in Veronica Magazine
‘Simone has surpassed herself and racks up the tension throughout.’ Noord Hollands Dagblad
‘A sizzlingly exciting novel, that you read at great speed… everyone must know by now: Simone’s books are totally worth reading.’ Vrouw
